Following the Crisis in Eastern Congo

As a Christian organization, we draw inspiration from the scripture in Matthew 9:35-37: "Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd."

In the spirit of Jesus' compassion, Masinga Foundation is extending support to the Congolese people affected by the ongoing crisis in Eastern Congo, which has already had a national impact. We are launching a food bank to assist those in need, in addition to the healthcare services we are currently providing on the ground in Kinshasa. Please consider donating.

Providing local aid now, for a better Congo tomorrow.

“Go and do likewise.”

Affordable medicine for the Congolese

At the Masinga Foundation, we aim to do likewise by providing - medical aid in poor areas of the Congo. We have future plans as well, be the most urgent need is affordable medicine for the poor. Blaise’s own mother passed away because she was unable to obtain routine care and medicine for a treatable condition. In this and in other ways, God has shaped the life of our founders, Blaise and Mireille Masinga, through both the trials they have gone through and the Good Samaritans God has sent their way to help, and they feel like God’s plan for their ministry is to reflect their own history. As Blaise says, “your life story is your ministry.” Read more about their story here.

“Go and do likewise.”

The story of The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37) gives us a clear picture of God’s desire for us to help those in desperate need wherever we find them. After describing how the Samaritan rescued a hurting man. Jesus told his audience, “Go and do likewise.”

Medicine for Those Without

Masinga Foundation provides aid for those in need in the Congo. Right now, our main priority is fulfilling medical needs. To do this, we provide local Congolese with basic medicine, either free or at an affordable cost through our Sephora Clinic. In Congo, a lack of basic medicine means that, in too many cases, an ailment that would otherwise be of little concern is now life-threatening. Beyond physical medicine, counseling services for survivors of violence and torture are needed, as both are too common a reality in Congo.
