Trip to the Congo

Hello, friends of Masinga Foundation. I’ve got an important update to share.

Some of you may be aware that there is a violent conflict happening in the eastern part of Congo. Kinshasa, in the western part of the Congo, is being affected by this. It has become overcrowded due to the influx of Congolese refugees from the conflict in the east.

Life in Kinshasa has become even more expensive than it was before. There is much homelessness now. And many people are in desperate need of food and shelter.

We at Masinga Foundation don't have the capacity to help with housing, but we are in a position to try to help with food by setting up a food shelf close to the Masinga Clinic. The Clinic has already been helping with medical assistance for those affected by the conflict, but we feel a great need to provide sustenance in Kinshasa, as well. Along with the Gospel, this will truly minister to the needy and war torn in Kinshasa.

At Masinga Foundation, we believe everyone's ministry reflects the way that they have been ministered to and what they have endured in their lives. Some of the supporters of Masinga Foundation know that you have personally helped me, Blaise, in my hour of need, with housing when I was homeless. Mireille and I now want to do what we can through Masinga Foundation to help in the Congo with this situation. Consequently, I, Blaise, will be travelling to Kinshasa on April 5th with money to buy food for the pop-up food shelf we will set up next to the clinic. Mireille and I are personally funding a portion of the food shelf, as we have done in the past. If you would like to donate to this cause to fund the purchase of food, you can donate here on our website using the donate button. You can also send a check to 2501 Birchview Lane, Minnetonka, MN 55305.

Thank you for keeping up with Masinga Foundation. We do appreciate your support and interest.
